Lake Park Ministries

  • Children

Karen Smith Lake Park offers mid-week children’s programming for children grades K - Gr. 6 as well as Children’s Church during the Sunday morning service for ages 4-grade 4. These are fun and learning times for the children as they are taught from the Bible in such a way that even at their young age, they can grow in their understanding of Scripture and know that Jesus loves them.

  • Youth

James Banman Two of the primary objectives of the youth leaders and voluntees is to teach the Word of God and to create a sense of community and belonging within the youth group. The youth are excited to be at each activity and there are new faces! The Lord is working among the youth. Each week there is a mid-week Bible Study followed on Friday by a night of fun which can include seeing who can cook something edible with the given ingredients, paintballing and McDonald’s runs.

  • Music & Worship

Jim Banman Lake Park strives to incorporate the worship of God through song and music and to bring unity to the Body of Christ by singing His praise each Sunday morning. We are thankful for the volunteers who are all dedicated to making a joyful noise unto the Lord whether by being on a worship team or in the media/sound booth.

  • Small Groups

Marv Penner Small Groups are a great way to get to know others, share prayer and praise together, and to study God’s Word. These groups create close friendships as we help each other to grow spiritually and be a part of the larger church body. It’s these groups that help us be who Christ intends us to be.

  • Deacon & Deaconess

Lance and Kim Nelson So much of this ministry involves care and fellowship from preparing the communion elements to setting up and serving potluck lunches at the church or delivering flowers and fruit baskets to those ill or grieving. This ministry also has fun organizing baby and wedding showers and gets to be the first people to greet those walking into our church doors each Sunday. The members in this ministry know the meaning of serving and reaching out in love.

  • Women's Ministry

Tracy Stephen The Women’s Ministry Team hosts multiple events throughout the year such as cooking class, Christmas Teas, and campfires. These events bring women together to encourage each other as well as a time to just have fun. Keep an eye on the church bulletin for information on when the next event will take place.

  • Trustees

Betty Strand The main goal of the Trustee Committee is to enable the many Ministries at Lake Park to function as smoothly as possible in our church facility. To that end they work hard at maintaining the church grounds by keeping the grass mowed, the flowers planted and maintained and the sidewalks shoveled come winter. They also keep the inside of the church and everything in it maintained, functional and looking beautiful.

  • Missions

Rachelle Gitzel Missions is an important part of our church as we support a number of missionaries both abroad as well as here in Canada. We as a church are kept updated by regular newsletters and are then able to keep these missionaries and their commuities in our prayers as well as support them financially. We love when they are able to visit our church and tell us in person what is happening in their part of the world.

  • Outreach

Food Hampers - Holly Cochrane & Andrea Bird

Visitation - Judy & Vili Bai The goal of the Outreach Ministry is to reach out to those in our communities that are in need of assistance whether it be food or other living necessisties needed because of a tragedy or financial situation or someone who needs a friendly visit. These teams are eager to reach out a helping hand to help ease another’s burden.
