Purpose:
The Weekend Ministry Team of Lake Park Baptist Church believes that God’s purpose for us is to provide a worship experience that glorifies God, helps reach people for Christ, and teaches those who believe. We do this through the avenues of preaching, media, and musical worship.
Values:
We value excellence, creativity, flexibility, and efficiency. We want to be culturally relevant and we want to use technology as a tool to help people understand that God is forever relevant. We want to develop leaders as this is essential for growth.
Opportunities To Serve:
How we communicate matters to us, so here at Lake Park we have a team of dedicated volunteers in sound and projection to ensure that this medium supports and amplifies the message. These positions require certain skills, abilities, but most of all a willing heart to serve the Lord. We will do our best to enable these volunteers. The following are areas that we are currently looking for people to serve:
Computer Presentation:
This involves putting together and executing computer slide presentations for Sunday Worship Services and special events. This includes songs, message points, and scripture. People involved in this ministry need to be available for practices and Sunday Morning Services, as well as some sporadic special events that happen throughout the year.
Creative Media:
This involves putting together announcements, backgrounds, etc. It may also include brief video presentations. People involved in this ministry need to be available for all ministry teams who wish to have creative media announcements.
Sound Technician:
Having an ear for quality of sound is important for this ministry. Being able to mix instruments and vocals so that there is a balanced presentation for the listener to hear is very critical in this form of communication. Understanding how to set up sound equipment would be an asset to this ministry. People involved in this ministry need to be available for practices and Sunday Morning Services, as well as some sporadic special events that happen throughout the year.
Ushers:
Helping people find a place to sit and feel welcome is a big part of this ministry. Ushers are often one of the first people attenders meet on a Sunday morning. Having the gift of hospitality and an upbeat personality are great qualities for this ministry. People involved in this ministry need to be available for Sunday Morning Services as well as some sporadic special events that happen throughout the year.

We will train you. If you are comfortable with a computer and have some musical ability you just might be a candidate.
