If you have attended a weekend service, you may have been a little overwhelmed by the size of our auditorium. It's because we are a growing church, and we expect to keep growing in the same way that the New Testament Church was a growing church. But as we grow larger, we also grow smaller. Our small group ministry is designed to build a network of small groups within the context of the large community. As you continue to make yourself at home here, I would strongly encourage you to find a small group in your area where you can develop authentic and lasting relationships with others who also attend Lake Park.
In addition to small groups, Lake Park Church has other minstries for people to get involved in. No matter what your age, there is plenty of room for you and lots of ways for you to be involved.
In short, we are doing all we can to be the same kind of church described in the New Testament. Through age-appropriate and practical teaching, powerful times of worship and praise, authentic relationships, and a heart for those in need of the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, we want to make a positive and lasting impact on the world around us.
If you are still just checking out this "church thing" and investigating the claims of Jesus Christ, thank you for allowing us to help you along the way. Or if you are a committed Christ-follower who is looking for a place to mature in your faith as you serve others, you are also welcome. My prayer is that, no matter where you are along your journey, you will feel right at home here at Lake Park church.
Yes, we are a growing church. But each person who comes through our doors, regardless of where they are in life, is important to us because each one, including you, is important to God.
